Bedgebury National Pinetum & Forest

Bedgebury Camping is only a few minutes' drive from Bedgebury National Pinetum & Forest, the award winning visitor attraction. Covering over 2000 acres, the Pinetum & Forest have something for everyone including miles of beautiful walks, children's play areas and Go Ape.  Cycling is permitted in the Forest but bike hire is not available there.

Enjoying nature at Bedgebury Pinetum

Bedgebury National Pinetum is home to the largest pinetum in the world - a collection of ancient plants that include cedars, firs, larches, pines, spruces and yew.  Nature lovers will appreciate the diverseness of the collection, including some incredibly rare trees. This leading and important collection, covering 350 acres, is carefully managed by Forestry England and is home to 12,000 specimens from all over the world including Giant Redwoods and Swamp Cypress.  

Kids' activities at Bedgebury Pinetum

Children are well catered for with play areas located throughout the forest where they can be pirates on shipwrecked galleons and clamber up, down, over and through a multitude of obstacles.

Accommodation near Go Ape at Bedgebury Pinetum 

Adrenalin rushes and excitement 40 feet above ground level are on offer with 'Go Ape'. Once safety training has been done and harnesses in place, the treetop canopy becomes an extreme playground incorporating rope walkways, zip wires, nets, tunnels and bridges.

Bedgebury Pinetum also has an on-site café, picnic areas, WCs including baby changing facilities and a visitor information centre. Dogs on leads are welcome.
