Bedgebury Camping near top family attractions

There are fun activities near to Bedgebury Camping to suit everyone. These include mountain biking, watersports and childrens' play areas and activities. Look no further than Bedgebury National Pinetum & Forest and Bewl Water the 880-acre reservoir, which are both close-by. 

Children's play areas

Both Bedgebury Forest & Bewl Water offer exciting play areas for chlidren. There is an indoor play centre at Bewl, complete with soft play structures designed for different age groups. Outside, is an adventure play area including a timber structured pirate ship complete with climbing frames, pirate helms and a slide.

Bedgebury Forest incorporates its play areas into a 2km Play Trail, dedicating clearings within the forest - with easy reach from the forest tracks - to nature themed play equipment. These areas include a spider's web, butterfly, dragonfly and pine cone.  There is also a central Shipwreck and picnic areas, a few minutes walk from the main car park.

Mountain Biking in Kent

There a number of choices when it comes to mountain biking in Kent.  Bedgebury Forest is around 2.5km away along Bedgebury Road and has 12km of single track and a 'freeride'.  Bewl Water has a 20km reservoir route.  Mountain bike hire is only available at Bewl Water and no longer available at Bedgebury National Pinetume & Forest. 

Walking in Kent

Explore the beautiful Kent countryside on the numerous public footpaths surrounding Goudhurst. The Millennium walk is a popular and picturesque circular route of six miles, which conveniently passes directly through the Bedgebury Camping site so customers can join the walk easily. 

Watersports in Kent

There are a range of water based activities at Bewl Water reservoir including the aqua park, paddle board hire, windsurfing, kayaking and open water swimming.
