Sissinghurst Castle Garden

Around six miles from Bedgebury Camping, the stunning and romantic National Trust property of Sissinghurst Castle Garden is a must-see for visitors to the Weald of Kent.

The property was acquired by Vita Sackville-West and her husband, Sir Harold Nicholson, in 1930. They transformed the gardens, around existing buildings, into a series of intimate and beautiful compartments, the most famous of which is probably the sublime White Garden.

What's on offer at Sissinghurst Castle Garden

A new vegetable garden now provides fruit and vegetables for the licensed restaurant. A coffee shop is also available providing light refreshments.

Sissinghurst offers summer garden evenings, walks and talks as well as lecture lunches. Children can enjoy a quiz/trail, and special kids' activity packs are available.

Bedgebury Camping

For anyone wishing to be based near Sissinghurst Castle Garden the location of Bedgebury Camping could not be better. We are approximately 15 minutes' drive away, on the edge of Goudhurst, an historic village in the Weald of Kent. 

We are just ten miles from Royal Tunbridge Wells, 40 minutes from the M25 and about half an hour's drive the south coast, and provide an ideal base to explore this picturesque corner of England.
